HELSINKI + ONLINE
This practical and interactive course provides a solid foundation for effective and professional board work. It is designed for both current board members and those aspiring to join boards in the future.
The course helps participants understand how a competent and active board can support sustainable growth and professional management. Participants gain concrete tools for improving board performance, governance practices, and strategic decision-making. Experienced instructors and real-life business cases ensure valuable insights into board responsibilities and dynamics.
The course is especially valuable for entrepreneurs, executives, and advisors looking to deepen their understanding of board work. By completing the course, participants become part of a growing network of certified board professionals (HHJ).
The Certified Board Member (HHJ) Course is suitable for
- activating and developing board work
- those who are already doing board work
- those who are considering doing board work
The Course also helps entrepreneurs and business leaders make better use of board work.
The Tampere Chamber of Commerce, together with the regional board development organization Hallituspartnerit ry, has developed a training program called the Certified Board Member (CBM) — known in Finnish as Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen (HHJ).
The CBM program is innovative in its approach, as it combines two key objectives while activating an often underutilized resource within companies. The first objective is to increase understanding and awareness of effective board work among business leaders. The second is to connect experienced advisors with entrepreneurs who can benefit from their expertise. Ultimately, the program aims to enhance company performance and growth by strengthening the role and impact of the board.
