SUMMARY:BUSINESS CLIMATE AND OPPORTUNITIES IN MOROCCO
DESCRIPTION:Morocco is by far the most attractive and stable market in North Africa for Finnish companies. Its strategic location between Africa and Europe\, its stable economy\, developed infrastructure\, and forward-looking business environment provide for a wealth of business opportunities for Finnish businesses in a number of sectors.\nRecently\, the Kingdom made it among Africa's top three receivers of Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs)\, and despite the pandemic\, the Kingdom attracted a net flow of FDI totaling 1.2 billion euros in the first eight months of 2021\, representing a 16.9% rise over the same time last year.\nToday\, up to 40 Finnish enterprises operate actively in the Moroccan market\, in the maritime\, energy\, education\, telecommunication\, and agritech sectors. While the expansion potential of Finnish enterprises in the country remains substantial\, it may be hindered by a lack of knowledge of the business environment and opportunities provided by the country.\nThis 90 minute webinar will provide insights into doing business in Morocco as well as present key sectors providing market opportunities for Finnish businesses. A representative of the Moroccan Agency for the Development of Investments and Exports will present highlights of Morocco's economic development and the reasons behind the spike in FDI.\nBy giving concrete examples\, the latter will also discuss the benefits of entering African markets from Morocco\, as well as the available investment incentives and financing options.
